Keynote speaker and business consultant Judy Piatkus has over 30 years experience  as a female entrepreneur specialising in the areas of growing a successful business, reinvention of products and brands and personal development.

Judy's second publishing company (she sold the first one before she was 30), Piatkus Books, grew from small beginnings in Judy's back bedroom in Loughton, Essex, to become one of the UK's top 25 publishing companies and one of the world's leading independent publishing imprints. 

Funded only by the company's organic growth, and, as a single parent supporting

three young children, one of whom had cerebral palsy, Judy overcame all the obstacles in her path to create a publishing imprint which consistently delivered quality books, season after season.

The Piatkus brand became known for its leading-edge book publishing in the areas of lifestyle, health and well-being, business, popular psychology, self-help, mind, body and spirit and fiction as well as producing an eclectic range of general non-fiction.  Piatkus was successful in launching many new authors and dozens of timely, original and fresh bestselling books into a crowded and competitive marketplace.

Piatkus was also respected throughout the publishing and bookselling industries as a very well-run company, particularly successful in retaining its enthusiastic staff and being unafraid to take risks and experiment with new ideas in both fiction and non-fiction.

In the summer of 2007 Judy successfully sold the company to Little Brown who are continuing to develop the Piatkus brand.

Judy has always been fascinated by new ideas and trends in society.  Her experience as an entrepreneur and publisher whose job it was to think ahead and anticipate trends, influences her keynote speaking, her workshops and her business consultancy.

Using all of her experience, Judy is now able to help and inspire other entrepreneurs to think differently and creatively about their businesses.  

In these times of constant upheaval, Judy's ability to focus quickly on the essence of a situation and to suggest ways to cut through the chaos to reach a solution is finding her very much in demand as a speaker on the leading-edge of change and new ideas.
